Code of Everand » The Crossing (0:20)

Mixtape Club takes us on an adventure through the land of Everand. MTC created this spot for the release of Code of Everand, a free, massive multiplayer online game developed by Area/Code for the UK Department for Transport to promote road safety among school children. Code of Everand was an opportunity for Mixtape Club to push themselves in a bold and graphic direction. They were excited to contrast the simple, graphic characters with the lush hand-painted environments, inspired by many of the animated films Mixtape Club loves, particularly the work of Hayao Miyazaki. This piece blends 3D, 2D matte painting, and traditional flash animation, a combo they're eager to keep honing and pushing even further.
